The Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waite Tarot

ultimate guideThe Ultimate Guide to the Rider WaiteTarot is a really good book that can be used by seasoned  tarot readers as well as newbies.   The book, written by Johannes Fiebig  & Evelin Burger provides a brief overview of the history of the tarot, along with the major and minor arcana.

The guide focuses on the top 10 symbols in each tarot card. The Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waiter Tarot is an essential to have because in addition to using your own intuition, numerology, and colors, symbolism is also a critical part for interpreting the tarot cards correctly.  For example, see Johannes Friebig & Evelin Burger’s  interpretation of the eight points of the star below.

starThe Star card in an upright position overall symbolizes a sense of hope especially after some difficult period has passed. The eight points of the stars are characteristic of diamonds which in ancient time symbolized the pure, true, clear, and purged core of the soul, the indestructible and inalienable essence that resides in every person.  Interesting!  Did you know the tree on the hill in the far right corner stands for the connection between heaven and earth, for the gradual union of the microcosm and macrocosm? We’ll  I didn’t either!

In addition to the explanations for the top ten symbols for all 78 tarot cards, Johannes Fiebig & Evelin Burger have taken the time to  also provide brief interpretations regarding the primary, spiritual, daily, love and relationship,  and success and happiness meanings of the cards, along with prognosis and tendency. If you use the Rider Waite tarot deck or simply want to know more about the Rider Waite tarot deck, the Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waite Tarot is a good book for you.

The Queen of Cups

queen_cupsToday, I pulled the Queen of Cups from the tarot card deck.  The Queen of Cups can symbolize among other things, a person who is sensitive, mature and romantic.  She is intuitive and empathetic which gives her the ability to guide other people through their emotions.  The Queen of Cups gives much of herself to help others and is a loving in caring mother.  Because of this, she may withdraw at times to restore herself.

And that is exactly what I did the entire weekend.  I helped my children, friends and co-workers solve their problems all week-long  by using my intuition to guide them to enlightenment.  By the end of the week, I was wiped out!  So I withdrew into a quiet place to restore myself and  relaxed.  Although, still a little mentally tired, I am feeling better!  What are your thoughts regarding the Queen of Cups?

Angelo’s Three Card Spread (Expanded)

three card tarot

The three card tarot spread can be a powerful spread because you can gain insight to a situation quickly.  However, sometimes more information is needed.  Angelo Nasios is a tarot card reader based in New York and has published a variety of You Tube Videos based on the tarot.   I found his You Tube video on his expanded three card spread  to be very interesting.  I hope you will too.

Eight of Wands

eight_wandsHow can I leverage my time for the day was the question that I asked myself this morning when I woke up.  I had so much to accomplish that I was beginning to experience a sense of being overwhelmed.  I turned to my trusty tarot cards for some insight and pulled the eight of wands tarot cards.  I scanned the card  quickly and thought, wands, fire, eights, movement, action,  and accomplishment and knew immediately what it was I needed to do. Get my butt in gear, focus and using a  high level of movement, move it!  With the eight of wands by my side, I know I will accomplish all of my goals today!

What are your experiences with the eight of wands?
