Three of Wands – My Ships are Coming In!

3 of wands tarot illuminati

The number  3 in numerology can indicate creativity, groups, goals and initial achievements, growth, and expansion.

When the three of wands appears in a reading, it indicates that you have taken the steps to put your goals into action.   You were able to do this due to the  planing completed during the two of wands phase.

It is also important to remember that although the ships are coming in, they have not actually arrived yet. Therefore, proper planning should continue for the duration of the project.  This is also a good time to reevaluate plans if  needed.  It will also being important to accept any new opportunities, as they will lead to growth and expansion.

When the three of wands appear reversed in a reading, it can indicate that plans have not turned out the way you had hopped they would.  Some reasons could be  due to a lack of inspiration, delays, lack of creativity, and lack of  collaboration among groups.

The Tarot Illuminati Tarot Card Deck and Companion Book

Tarot illuminati

The High Priestess

Last week, I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and purchased a brand new deck of tarot Cards – The Tarot Illuminati.  The Tarot Illuminati was illustrated by Erik C. Dunne and the companion book was written by Kim Huggens.  I normally use the Rider Waiter tarot deck but was drawn to the sumptuous colors in the pictures.  The Illuminati tarot card deck is not associated with the secret society named the Illuminati but rather the light of wisdom displayed in the  tarot deck. The Illuminati tarot deck is beautiful.  It features gilded gold-colored edges and the cards are made from a  really nice sturdy card stock.

The Chariot

The Companion book is quite nice too! The companion book is put together well and features glossy pages, full size color pictures and insight for each tarot card.  The Tarot Illuminati Kit comes with the Illuminati tarot deck, companion book and is contained in a high quality  box featuring a magnetic closure, a picture of the High Priestess on the front and the Knight of Cups on the back of the box.  Classy!  There are a few cards that appear to look strange to me such as the Chariot, the Hierophant and Temperance as some of the dimensions of scale seem to be off and so thoughts of something being off keep running through my mind when I look at them.

Illuminati Knight of Cups

Prince of Cups

Dunne has actually changed the names of some of the cards.  For example the Magician is referred to as the Alchemist, the Pages are referred to as Princesses and the  Knights are referred to as  Princes. Some of my favorite cards in the Illuminati tarot deck are the World, the Moon and the Prince of cups.

Five of Cups

Last but not least the four,  five, seven and eight of cups depicts images of young lads and men featuring the same blonde cropped hair do that Dunne  sports.   In a clever trick, Dunne manages to depict himself as the five of cups!  Nice!

On the overall the Illuminati tarot card deck is absolutely stunning and I feel like I have a very good connection to them.  I purchased my Illuminati Kit from Amazon.com. If you would like to purchase the deck visit Amazon.com.

The Five of Wands

five of wandsThe Five of Wands like all five’s in the tarot can indicate conflict and change.  However, unlike the Five of Swords, the conflict represented in the Five of Wands is on a lighter note.  The Five of Wands signifies loss or indicates some type of difficulties usually in the realm of competition.  A good example of the Five of Wands would be if  people are playing a sport and they are competing against each other.  They are competing within the game for the sheer joy of the sport but they don’t intend to purposely hurt each other.

How doe this apply to me as the card of the day. I’ve been experiencing some problems at work which are due to competition.  It’s nice to know that the competition is in good spirit and that the people aren’t really out to hurt me.  What does the Five of Wand mean to you?

The Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waite Tarot

ultimate guideThe Ultimate Guide to the Rider WaiteTarot is a really good book that can be used by seasoned  tarot readers as well as newbies.   The book, written by Johannes Fiebig  & Evelin Burger provides a brief overview of the history of the tarot, along with the major and minor arcana.

The guide focuses on the top 10 symbols in each tarot card. The Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waiter Tarot is an essential to have because in addition to using your own intuition, numerology, and colors, symbolism is also a critical part for interpreting the tarot cards correctly.  For example, see Johannes Friebig & Evelin Burger’s  interpretation of the eight points of the star below.

starThe Star card in an upright position overall symbolizes a sense of hope especially after some difficult period has passed. The eight points of the stars are characteristic of diamonds which in ancient time symbolized the pure, true, clear, and purged core of the soul, the indestructible and inalienable essence that resides in every person.  Interesting!  Did you know the tree on the hill in the far right corner stands for the connection between heaven and earth, for the gradual union of the microcosm and macrocosm? We’ll  I didn’t either!

In addition to the explanations for the top ten symbols for all 78 tarot cards, Johannes Fiebig & Evelin Burger have taken the time to  also provide brief interpretations regarding the primary, spiritual, daily, love and relationship,  and success and happiness meanings of the cards, along with prognosis and tendency. If you use the Rider Waite tarot deck or simply want to know more about the Rider Waite tarot deck, the Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waite Tarot is a good book for you.

The Queen of Cups

queen_cupsToday, I pulled the Queen of Cups from the tarot card deck.  The Queen of Cups can symbolize among other things, a person who is sensitive, mature and romantic.  She is intuitive and empathetic which gives her the ability to guide other people through their emotions.  The Queen of Cups gives much of herself to help others and is a loving in caring mother.  Because of this, she may withdraw at times to restore herself.

And that is exactly what I did the entire weekend.  I helped my children, friends and co-workers solve their problems all week-long  by using my intuition to guide them to enlightenment.  By the end of the week, I was wiped out!  So I withdrew into a quiet place to restore myself and  relaxed.  Although, still a little mentally tired, I am feeling better!  What are your thoughts regarding the Queen of Cups?

The three card tarot spread can be a powerful spread because you can gain insight to a situation quickly.  However, sometimes more information is needed.  Angelo Nasios is a tarot card reader based in New York and has published a variety of You Tube Videos based on the tarot.   I found his You Tube video on his expanded three card spread  to be very interesting.  I hope you will too.
